Hi, I'm Matthew Foley.

My story

Here's what I know about myself: I don't fit in boxes. An early ADHD diagnosis made that clear quickly. Instead of fighting it, I leaned into understanding behavior, building personal systems, and learning how to apply myself in a rapidly advancing world. At Florida State University (B.S. in Criminology, minors in Psychology and Entrepreneurship), I saw how much people need developmental resources tailored to the individual, not just the system.

What I do for students

For the past 5 years, I've worked directly with high school and college students as a Career & Executive Function Coach. I help them navigate early career transitions, discover pathways aligned with their strengths, and build the executive functioning habits needed to succeed in the classroom and the job market. My focus is students who feel overwhelmed by their choices or who simply need a clear, practiced roadmap.

Why my background is different

I bring 10 years of building things in the real world. I sourced IT professionals for Fortune 500 companies like IBM and AT&T, so I know exactly what employers look for in top talent. I founded a consumer product company that earned Amazon's Choice status and sold over 350,000 units globally. And I design and ship the career technology my students use, including AIPA Pathways, our AI-powered career development platform with over 1,000 student users.

That combination matters for your student. When we practice interviews, it's with someone who sat on the hiring side. When we build a plan, it's with someone who has turned plans into products. When we talk about an AI-driven job market, it's with someone building in it every day.

In 2023, I launched Growth Mind Co. to bring these together. Whether I'm coaching a student toward career clarity or advising an education company on their next product, the purpose is the same: helping people turn complex challenges into clear, actionable steps.
